Amari Verástegui, Administrative Director, has extensive experience related to financial management and fundraising with various projects and centers at Rutgers University. She is responsible for both financial and grant management, and oversees grant reporting and development. Previously, Amari worked at the editorial office of Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society and provided fiscal and programmatic coordination of National Science Foundation and state-funded education grants for the New Jersey Statewide Systemic Initiative at The College of New Jersey and Rutgers. Amari has guest lectured and presented at various universities statewide. She graduated cum laude from the College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) with a BA in English and completed an EdM in Adult and Continuing Education from Rutgers University in 2007. She is fluent in Spanish and recently completed a graduate certificate in Translation (English-Spanish) from Rutgers University.
