The Founding Director of CWGL, Charlotte Bunch will be a featured Speaker at the 'I am Generation Equality: Realizing women’s rights' High-Level event by UN Women in commemoration of International Women's Day at the UN Headquarters on 6th March 2020. The event will be moderated by Sade Baderinwa of WABC News and consist of two high-level panels which include Speeches by H.E. António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations and H.E. Sanna Marin, Prime Minister of Finland, among others.

Bunch will Speak in the Intergenerational Fireside Chat from 11:10 a.m. to 12:10 p.m alongside Dr. Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, Executive Director, UN Women and others.

Charlotte Bunch, Founding Director and Senior Scholar of the Center for Women's Global Leadership, Rutgers University, has been an activist, writer and organizer in the feminist and human rights movements for over four decades.  A Distinguished Professor in Women’s and Gender Studies, Bunch was previously a Fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies in DC and a founder of Quest: A Feminist Quarterly.  She has served on the Board of Directors of many organizations and is currently on the Board of the Association for Women’s Rights in Development (AWID) and the Advisory Committee for the Women’s Rights Division of Human Rights Watch.
