CWGL/RUL Poster Collection

CWGL & Rutgers University Libraries

Rutgers University Libraries and CWGL have had an extensive history of collaborative partnerships.  In 2010, the Margery Somers Foster Center and Rutgers Libraries, in partnership with the Women’s and Gender Studies Department, moved forward with plans to digitize CWGL’s poster collection. This project was undertaken with support from the Rutgers’ Academic Excellence Fund. Digital versions of over 300 posters have been created along with metadata and relevant information. These posters chronicle twenty years of transnational women’s activism and advocacy, while documenting the changing issues of the global women’s movement. The collection will be housed in RUcore, the Rutgers Community Institutional Repository, an online archive, where they will be accessible to all.
