CSW64 WGL Advisory

 Dear Friends and Colleagues,
Greetings from the Center for Women’s Global Leadership (WGL). In light of the amendment of the format of the 64th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and cancellation of all side and parallel events associated with CSW64 as announced by the UN Secretary General on 2 March 2020, WGL wishes to advise the following. As you know, WGL and partners had organized and planned a number of events during CSW64 including speaking appearances by our leadership team. We thank you for your continued support and for your interest in the events planned. All public events arrangement by WGL are cancelled until further notice. We are, however currently assessing opportunities to reschedule or adopt an alternative format for some of the meetings to keep our advocacy and conversations with you going.


For closed events WGL advises the following:

• The Global Dialogue on Ending Gender-Based Violence in the World of Work is cancelled and discussions are pending with lead partners and co-sponsors for opportunities in the near future for holding this important Dialogue. • The Global 16 Days Campaign Strategy Meeting will now be arranged entirely online and the details of this new format will follow soon. • The Expert Group Meeting on Violence Against Women Journalists will take place in hybrid online and offline format.
